Kiwi Semi is committed to establishing, managing and continuously improving world class processes and systems that meet or beat our customers’ expectations.

We take a proactive approach to Total Quality, rather than one of detection. By focusing our Quality Management Systems on technology, reliability, service and cost, we strive to provide our customers with innovative products at competitive pricing.

Quality and Reliability

Kiwi Semi strives to be best-in-class by building in quality and reliability during the product development phase, selecting subcontract manufacturing partners with a demonstrated track record of quality and reliability, and by implementing procedures and systems that insure our completed products adhere to their specifications.

Each Kiwi Semi product is subjected to a rigorous reliability evaluation that includes a variety of stress tests, including evaluations of die reliability (long term failure rates) and package integrity. Where applicable, the tests are performed in accordance with the EIA JEDEC Standard 22 and MIL-STD-883 standards. In addition, a full evaluation of the assembly manufacturability is carried out to insure high quality yields. This battery of tests evaluates die attach, wire bond, mold integrity, laser mark and plating. A comprehensive report is available upon request for each of Kiwi Semiconductor’s qualified products.

Quality Management Systems

The Kiwi Semi Quality System is documented in a Quality Manual, QAP-001, which provides an overall structure to the policies and procedures used to manage our business. This system is designed around ISO 9001:2008 and has been developed to ensure that our products and services meet both the specified customer requirements and our business objectives in a consistent, economical, and reliable manner.

While our subcontract manufacturers all have their own quality management systems and are ISO 9001 certified, they must nevertheless be compliant with Kiwi Semi’s own QMS. Kiwi guarantees quality to its customers and does so with a robust quality management system that integrates that those of its subcontract manufacturers.
